A joint venture expanding our structural examination, specialist access and enabling works capability across the UK rail network.
Vames Access Ltd is a joint venture that brings together specialist expertise in structural examination (STE), IRATA rope access and enabling works to complement and extend ARB Access Group’s existing capability.
The joint venture gives clients a single, fully integrated delivery partner for complex access and examination programmes - more resource, more reach, and a stronger combined management team. Vames Access is already operational across Network Rail routes and is RISQS-approved, with its own dedicated team of STE-qualified examiners, rope access technicians and project management professionals.
Together, ARB Access Group and Vames Access are able to offer clients a complete end-to-end service: from vegetation clearance and access enabling through to earthwork and structural examination, all self-delivered and under one contractual relationship.
Specialist capability, fully integrated.
Structural examinations (STE)
STE02–07 qualified examiners delivering detailed and visual structural examinations to NR/L3/CIV/006, assessed to NR/SP/CTM/017 across bridges, viaducts, tunnels and retaining walls.
IRATA rope access
IRATA L1–L3 teams providing safe, cost-effective access to structures and high-sided cuttings where scaffold is impractical - integrated with examination and vegetation programmes.
Enabling works
De-vegetation, access preparation and plant enabling works self-delivered ahead of examinations, removing the need for a separate sub-contractor and keeping the programme moving.
